I am 26 years old and live with my partner Billy, our daughter Elle (2yrs) and my stepson Danny (Billy’s son, 16yrs)

We were introduced to Sure Start during my first pregnancy, by the Sure Start midwife. I accessed the breast feeding support and many other groups and activities, and have become very involved with the breast feeding support programme, meaning that I have completed a breast feeding peer supporters
course and I now help to run a breast feeding drop in for local parents.
I feel that Sure Start has helped me a lot; I have gained loads of confidence and made lots of friends. I also help in reception at Sure Start once per week and Elle uses the nursery a couple of times per week. I am pregnant again and am looking forward to using more of the programmes. I hope to one day work professionally in the community |
