My story Our story

Introduction

Welcome to the second edition of My Story Our Story, celebrating more of the success of local people and local groups. the first edition was received very positively, the following is a comment from someone who attended the re-launch of Manor and Castle Development Trust earlier this year:

"Some very moving stories that are an inspiration to us all."

The Trust is working hard to make sure it can continue to deliver the things that make a real difference to real people.  We are looking to extend some of the work we do with children and young people, and have been sucessful in winning a contract to do additional positive activites across the area.  The Steps to excellence programme is also expanding as it has had a major impact on the lives of people who have been on the programme.  Some new areas of work are being introduced to help people to build their confidence and skills to go back into employment.

We continue to work with our partners to make sure that people who live in the Manor & Castle area receive the best service possib;e.  In all the years I have worked in the area, I have never experienced the levels of collaboration that I am currently experiencing - all with the aim of improving the quality of life for people who live in the Manor Castle area.

I hope you enjoy this second editon of My Story, Our Story and are inspired by what local people do achieve, sometimes against the odds, with a little support from people who care.
